This trimester for school I am in chorus for explorations. Explorations are the fine art classes the 5th and 6th grade rotates through, three every year. This helps them decide what they want to do for electives in 7th and 8th grade. In chorus we are learning many different songs. Three white horses, land of the silver birch, my paddle, up above my head, sound of silence, and ain’t no mountain high enough.
In chorus we start with a warm up. in these warm ups we usually warm up be stretching muscles that are needed to sing and we do various voice warm ups.
after that we play different games like monarch of the mountain, where you say your pattern and say someone else’s pattern and they say their pattern then someone else’s and when someone messes up the go to the bottom of the mountain, one part of the circle.
Chorus is fun! It lets you stretch your creative wings and play with new ideas. We use songs that we learn and sing them in all kinds of ways. Do you like singing?
